| There are two routes between Vogelsang and Merced Lake. The first profile below is for the shorter one, along Fletcher Creek. It is about 7-1/2 miles long. The other route, along Lewis Creek, is about a mile longer and entails an additional 500' elevation gain - it tops out at 10,700' Vogelsang Pass. The second profile below is for this route.
